HOSTEL RULES & REGULATIONS
Upon admission, tenants must pay:
Admission fee: Rs. 500 (non-refundable)
Advance fee: Rs. 1,000
One-month rent deposit (varies based on room type, number of occupants, and facilities)
Wardrobe locker key deposit: Rs. 200
Rs. 200 will be deducted for maintenance, and Rs. 800 will be refunded upon vacating, provided a written notice is given at least 15 days in advance. Failure to provide notice will result in forfeiture of the refundable amount.
If a tenant vacates before completing one month, no amount will be refunded. Sudden vacating without prior notice will result in no refund, including the advance amount.
Paying guests and short-term guests must make full payment in advance. Admission fees of Rs. 200 (non-refundable) will be collected. Once billing is processed, no refunds will be issued.
Monthly hostel dues must be paid on or before the due date. Failure to pay on time without prior notice may result in eviction, and management reserves the right to accommodate another tenant in the room.
Tenants are responsible for any damages to hostel property, including cots, beds, wardrobes, TVs, and light fittings. Wall stickers are not allowed.
The hostel is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings (mobile phones, laptops, money, jewelry, clothing, etc.). Tenants should use lockers, store valuables in cupboards, and avoid carrying more than Rs. 500 in cash.
Tenants must register their daily in/out timings and reasons in the provided logbook.
The hostel owner is not liable for any incidents occurring inside or outside the premises.
The hostel owner reserves the right to evict tenants immediately in cases of misconduct and allocate the room to another tenant.
Monthly and daily fees will not be reduced for any leave taken.
If a tenant stays beyond the monthly rental period, charges will be calculated on a per-day basis and not as a proportion of the monthly fee.
Tenants intending to leave town or stay outside overnight must submit a written consent letter. Absence will be at the tenant’s own risk.
Food and eating plates are not allowed inside rooms and must be kept in the dining hall.
Use of the washing machine requires an additional charge of Rs. 300 per month.
Clothes should not be washed or dried inside the washroom and must be done only in the designated washing area.
Outside food is not permitted inside rooms but can be consumed in the dining area.
Cooking is strictly prohibited except for boiling eggs, water, and steaming milk using an induction stove.
Tenants must switch off all electrical appliances, including fans, TVs, and lights, before leaving the room.
The hostel and canteen will remain closed on certain holidays (e.g., Deepavali, Pongal) based on management decisions.
If a tenant is absent for more than five days without prior notice and fee payment, management reserves the right to allocate the room to another tenant.
If the wardrobe locker key is lost, Rs. 500 will be charged for replacement.
